Longer Retreats
Absorption and Insight
Led by Tejananda
Sat 3 and Sun 4 March
10.00 am to 4.00pm
A none residential weekend retreat with Tejananda at The Leeds Buddhist Centre.
What sometimes stops us in our tracks is lack of confidence in ourselves and our practice. This weekend is about gaining the confidence and courage to go deeper. That means having the understanding in practice that enables us to enter absorption (shamatha) and directly penetrate the truth of things as they are (vipashyana). Working through all the main areas in the Triratna meditation system, we'll find new ways to approach the practices and give our practice a quantum shift
Venue: Leeds Buddhist Centre
Suggested donation per day: £30/£20/£10, bring vegetarian lunch to share
Booking is essential and priority to go to those booking for both day
Leeds Buddhist Centre Retreats
Our weekend resedential retreats are held in the peace and quiet of the local countryside in a warm and friendly environment, away from our usual routines. Sangha weekend retreats are a chance for all of us connected with Triratna Leeds Buddhist Centre to spend time together and practice as a community. They allow us to engage more fully in meditation and Buddhist Practice and include talks, discussion and ritual.
These retreats are open to those familiar with our meditation techniques.
